EAG Workshop on FATF Recommendations, Seoul 28 – 31 August 2013

The EAG workshop on FATF Recommendations is taking place in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, from 28 to 31 August 2013. This workshop is organized by the World Bank and it is designed for the EAG member states. The organizers invited the APML to nominate one of its representatives to give presentation on National risk assessment (NRA) experiences.

Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (EAG) was established in 2004 at the initiative of the Russian Federation. Its aim is to promote FATF Recommendations and other international standards for AML/CFT.

The FATF Recommendation No. 1 prescribes the obligation for all member states to identify and assess the ML/TF risks for the country. The APML was the leader in the NRA process in Serbia.
