The Egmont group meeting, 21 – 24 January 2013, Ostend

The APML’s representatives will attend the plenary meeting of the Egmont group, which will be held from 21 to 24 January 2013 in Ostend, Belgium. In the framework of the Egmont committee and working groups’ regular meeting the APML’s representatives will participate in working group for legal affairs and training working group. The Egmont group is FIUs’ association which is intended to improve the cooperation in AML/CFT field. The goal of Egmont group is to promote and support the FIUs in implementation of national legislative in AML/CFT field, increasing FIU efficiency through staff training, increasing cooperation in the information and experiences exchange area. These meetings are intended to inform all participants about the national experience and development in AML/CFT field which some of member have had in previous period of time. This meeting is also opportunity for signing the memorandum of understanding between FIUs. The memorandum is ground for accomplishing better cooperation in AML/CFT filed and designating the common goals which are the product of cooperation between the parties in the memorandum.
