Professional exam for brokers

21 September 2011

The obligor that in its line of business engages in operations which require licensing process for AML staff has to have AML staff licensed for all types of activities that he/she is responsible for.

For example, if a bank engages in brokering/dealership activities, the compliance officer is to have passed both the exam for banking and broker/dealer operations. If the same person is in charge of both lines of activities and has passed the professional exam for bank AML staff, the person will only sit for the specific (special) part of the professional exam. In the opposite case, if there are two compliance officers for the two lines of activities, the AML officer in brokering/dealership activities will sit for the entire professional exam.

We remind you that the deadline for applications is 1 October 2011.
